Welcome to the Coastal Geohazards Podcast
In this podcast, I share the small, local‑first software tools and practical insights I’m building and supporting as barefoot developer to help coastal communities make sense of erosion, flooding, and everyday change and to avoid coastal maladaptation.
By introducing small, home‑cooked software tools and practical coastal insights, you’ll learn how to interpret change, cut through noise, and use evidence that genuinely supports your decisions today and in the future.

My work have already demonstrated real value in national‑scale coastal risk work. They were used to inform the development of the National Coastal Erosion Risk Mapping programme (NCERM2), helping improve the evidence base that underpins long‑term erosion forecasts and strategic planning. This contribution has been recognised by the Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) research team, who highlighted the work as an example of research with tangible, operational impact.
